Retrofit Air Tightness Testing & Air Leakage Diagnostics

As one of the UK’s largest providers of Air Tightness Testing, FES operate both Blower Door Fan systems and Pulse Units, to work on large scale domestic retrofit schemes, complying with PAS2035.  And because of our extensive experience & knowledge Air Leakage Diagnostics is provided on problematic properties.

Thermal Performance

SmartHTC is a non-invasive method of accurately measuring the actual thermal performance of a home in a highly cost-effective manner and without the need to vacate the property. The test gives an indication of the true efficiency of the building that can be directly compared with the predicted performance.  Performance measurements can inform the design, provide feedback and quality assurance.

U-value modelling

Onsite monitoring of existing buildings which can record measurements over several days or weeks to deliver greater accuracy and quantify the in-situ U-value of a building envelope in line with the ISO 9869 methodology. For retrofit performance improvement projects, this data allows us to determine the true energy, running cost and CO₂ savings delivered by improvements.

Our in-house team is available to work on projects of all sizes nationwide. We have provided thousands of CEPC surveys and are perfectly placed to certify large commercial portfolios and advise on the most cost effective routes to Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) compliance.
