After a thorough review, The FES Group was chosen as a trusted assessor for their SAP consultancy and selected as one of three approved air tightness testing suppliers.
We are the only consultant chosen to be a trusted assessor for both SAP consultancy and air tightness testing nationwide. Providing both services means that we guarantee to turn around the EPC certification within 24 hours of the air tightness test.

The Results
We worked very closely with Persimmon Homes’ Group Technical Advisor to provide a specification review of their housing stock. We reviewed the boiler heating controls and their impact on the rest of the building across more than 30 house designs. This was done quickly to ensure changes could be implemented with no adverse effect and saved £200 per house. With 16,000 houses being built each year, this equates to a potential saving of £3.2million each year. We also identified a hidden heat spot on exposed garage flooring, after using thermal bridging to assess any energy wastage. This calculation generated a 4% carbon saving on every house built with an internal garage.
