Hobson House Acoustic Consultancy
Following a competitive tender process Henley appointed the FES Group to provide Acoustic Consultancy on the conversion of a Grade II-listed former police station in Cambridge which is to be
turned into a boutique hotel.
We have provided a number of noise surveys to analyse and comply with external façade requirements under BS 8233:2014, and have undertaken acoustic consultancy throughout the project so far to ensure satisfactory acoustic performance in terms of airborne and impact sound insulation through Insul acoustic software analysis, HVAC requirements and reverberation performance through analysis of proposed internal finishes and room geometry to comply with all relevant acoustic legislation and best practice.
Henley is an efficient, progressive and design-led property development company, with a reputation for creating outstanding and award-winning homes, in and around London.
Incorporated in February 1999, they have since become well recognised for attention to quality and detail, as well as their focused approach to customer care.
“We have been able to advise and overcome some complex queries, such as achieving satisfactory attenuation performance between internal walls of guest rooms and the internal restaurant atrium possessing internal glazing. Use of our Insul calculation software and reviewing feasibility of available glazing options allowed us to determine a viable solution for the client.”
